The Northumberland Federation of Young Farmers’ Clubs
NFYFC is part of a nationwide body of more than 650 Young Farmers’ Clubs (YFC’s) located throughout England and Wales
Dedicated to supporting young people in agriculture
The county membership comprises of approximately 500 young people aged between 10 and 26 years
YFC’s are run by members for members
NFYFC is one of the largest rural youth organisation of its kind in Northumberland
Clubs are run by members for members and provide young people with a unique opportunity to enjoy a dynamic social life, develop skills, get involved with the local community, travel abroad and take part in a wide range of competitions and training at club, county, regional and national level, including sports, crafts and life skills.Northumberland YFC is grouped into 11 clubs based mainly on parish boundaries.
These are grouped into the County Federation and then further into six regional areas in England plus Wales and together form the National Federation of Young Farmers Clubs.The day-to-day administration of our federation is the responsibility of the County Chairman and the part time County Secretary along with 2 part time Fieldworkers.
The federation itself is governed by the Executive Committee, which comprises 40 members, half of which are elected YFC members from across Northumberland.
